Frammenti 2019 is a collection produced by Strato made of four pieces. Inlaid with blue and black satin and glossy steel, arranged in spots, it consists of four fragments. They can generate consoles, furniture for bathroom, bar toppings or systems for cooking.

Each new composition is generated by the decomposition and recomposition of individual fragments and is the result of a constant intellectual and artistic stratification: it becomes the finding of an excavation, the discovery of a (cultural) stratigraphy reversed by the acceleration of the circular motion that describes the changes in taste and customs.

Genetic sequences freely amplified, in infinite succession, these objects, instant antique ¹ and suspended between modernity and past, between Carlo Scarpa and Alessandro Mendini, between design and contemporary art, are findings that can be traced back to the idea of design that has its roots in the Italian history, culture, landscape, art and design, as a system that reflects a weak and contradictory modernity ².
